Camps and Sleepovers

At Garfield Primary School we offer a sleepover experience for students in Foundation - Year 2, and an annual camping program for our Year 3/4 students and our Year 5/6 students.

Our School Camps and Sleepover program play an important role in the social and emotional development of our students. Through participating in school camp and our sleepover, students develop the following skills:
•Develop resilience and dispositions which support learning
•Develop an understanding of their strength and potential
•Recognise and enact learning principles within and beyond the school
•Respond appropriately to feedback
•Develop skills of goal setting and resource management
•Learn to understand and manage their emotions
•Prepare for lifelong learning.
