School athletics carnival

Our annual Garfield Primary School athletics carnival took place on Friday, February 21st, and what an incredible day it was! With many parents and other family members in attendance, the support and enthusiasm from our school community made the event truly special. All students participated with energy and determination, giving their best efforts in every event. The sportsmanship on display was outstanding, with students cheering on their peers, celebrating achievements, and showing persistence in the heat.

In an incredibly close competition, Green House took home the overall victory again, edging out Gold House by just 15 points—one of the closest finishes in recent years! Congratulations to everyone who participated on the day and a sneaky congratulations to our staff relay team who managed a win in the final event of the day, against our Year 6 students and against our parent relay team! A huge thank you goes out again to Mrs Desiatov for her organisation of the event and to the parent volunteers who helped out on the day – we cannot thank you enough.
