Learning Centres

Our learning facilities, known as Learning Centre 1, 2 & 3, allow for students to learn and grow in an exciting, engaging and supportive environment. Our students take a great deal of pride in setting up the learning centres to ensure our school wide expectations - 'I am Safe, I am Respectful, I am a Learner' - are visible and used to guide their daily learning and interactions.

Learning Centre One

The Junior Learning Centre is the primary learning facility for our Foundation - Year 2 students. It is a wonderful space for our junior learners to begin their educational journey at Garfield Primary School, boasting new technologies, a fresh and vibrant atmosphere, and a number of flexible learning spaces to accommodate the needs of every student.

Learning Centres Two & Three

Learning Centre Two and Learning Centre Three are the primary learning facilities of our Year 3 - Year 6 students. Similar to the Junior Learning Centre, our middle and senior learners have access to a variety of spaces to develop their skills of working together and collaboration on combined learning tasks. Students  engage in learning in the immediate home groups each day to ensure that strong and productive relationships are built with their teacher and peers.

Art & STEM Room

Our students visit the Art & STEM Room on a weekly basis. It is a space that is constantly evolving and changing as student work samples and art displays take place.

Multipurpose Room

Our Multipurpose room is a space that is utilised regularly, for a variety of learning opportunities. In the Multipurpose Room we hold our weekly assembly (Monday afternoon), our PMP program is conducted, Foundation-6 Buddy program is conducted, the SRC use the space for fundraising, our school disco is held, and we often run sport and PE sessions in the space when the weather is nasty.
