Book Weed fun!

We celebrated our love of books with a really fun celebration day on Thursday, August 27th.

We celebrated Book Week and our love of reading at Garfield Primary School on Thursday, August 27th, We started with our annual parade and it must be said that the students looked AMAZING dressed as their favourite book characters. It was so nice to welcome along students from the Garfield Kindergarten as well as so many families to join in the fun! We then had a session with our visiting author, Kelly Wilson, who talked about her journey from being a school teacher to a published author and just what is involved in having your books published. We were so grateful to Kelly for taking the time to come and talk to our students, perhaps inspiring a few future authors!
