Swimming

At Garfield Primary School, each of our year levels does a week of swimming lessons in Term 4. This involves 5 x 45 minute lessons at Cardinia Life in Pakenham. We organise buses in and out so that our students can learn all about water safety and how to keep themselves safe in the water as we head into the summer months when we know that people like to be around the water. There is a small expense for families, but with pools and beaches being such a staple of the Australian summer, we know that learning to swim is incredibly important.
